Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password. You may optionally provide a profile photo and biographical information.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with Academun — including pages visited, courses watched, progress data, search queries, and device/browser information.

Payment Information

Payment data is processed by our third-party providers (Stripe, NowPayments). We do not store full card numbers. We retain transaction metadata like amount, date, and plan type.

Communications

If you contact us or participate in surveys, we retain those communications to improve our service.

Service Delivery

To provide, maintain, and improve the platform — including personalizing your learning experience, tracking progress, and delivering content.

Communications

To send service-related notifications, account updates, and (with your consent) promotional emails. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.

Analytics

To understand how users engage with our platform so we can improve features and content quality.

Security & Fraud Prevention

To detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity, and to protect the integrity of the platform.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your data

Academun does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Service Providers

We share data with trusted vendors who help us operate the platform (payment processors, email providers, CDN providers, analytics). These vendors are contractually bound to protect your data.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Academun, our users, or the public.

Data Retention

Active Accounts

We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.

Account Deletion

When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

Access & Portability

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time.

Correction

You can update most of your personal information directly in your account settings.

Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data. Some data may be retained for legal purposes.
